​PAYMENT – A 50% non-refundable deposit secures your party booking. Your party date is only confirmed once deposit and proof of payment is received. Please note you have 48 hours to make deposit payment after which your date will be passed on to another booking. A signed Disclaimer Form will need to be emailed to Play Lab before party date. By paying the deposit you are accepting and agreeing to all Play Lab Policies, Terms & Conditions and party booking Terms & Conditions. The remaining balance payment is to be made by date specified on invoice.

Where full payment has been received and the party is cancelled with less than 5 days notice – no refund is given.

Where full payment has been received and the party is cancelled with more than 5 days notice – payment will be refunded less the 50% deposit payment.

Additional children attending party that have not been added onto invoice, will be charged separately and payment must be made at the latest 1 day prior to party date.

​Play Lab will donate R100 to our chosen charity for each party booking received. Valid for all party bookings made from 11th September 2018 until expiry (at Play Lab’s discretion). Payments will be made at the end of the month. We are committed to supporting causes that support children, child welfare, education and any causes that support overall children’s well being. We have selected a range of registered charities in South Africa and will at times opt to donate the funds to a non-registered charity or cause at our discretion. We thank you for supporting us in giving back!

​INVITATIONS – Play Lab birthday invitations are complimentary and sent via email to parents. Invitations are a set design and are not adjustable. Should you design your own invitations, the Play Lab logo, font and colours schemes are not allowed to be used. Play Lab is Copy-written and has a strict branding image. All invitations must include the following note to guests “wear old clothes and bring a change of clothes. You will get messy! Please let us know of any allergies”

CLOTHING – Children and adults should dress comfortably, as sessions are floor based. Wear clothing you do not mind getting stained or dirty as sessions are very messy! The Play Lab is not responsible for damaged items.

SAFETY – We make every reasonable effort to ensure the safety of children at the Play Lab. The Play Lab does not hold responsibility for injuries incurred during events/ parties. Parents or guardians are responsible for child’s supervision, health and safety at all times. I agree that my child/children and guests shall participate in all activities which take place at the Play Lab at my and my child’s / guests own risk. I hereby waive any and all claims of whatsoever nature, which I or my child / guests may have against the Play Lab and/or any of the staff employed by the Play Lab. I further hold harmless, absolve and indemnity the aforesaid parties from liability in respect of any cause of action whatsoever arising directly or indirectly from, or in connection with, any loss or damage to my or my child’s / guests property during the entire time my child/guest is involved in the Play Lab party run by the aforesaid parties. Should an accident occur during the Play Lab party, your child’s/guests guardian is responsible for all decisions regarding medical emergencies and are responsible in its entirety for all costs incurred.

ALLERGIES – Please ensure that all guests are aware that Play Lab uses food items in all party sessions. Play lab must be notified via email of all children with allergies attending Play Lab parties. Play Lab holds no responsibility for any allergic reactions that take place during parties.

CATERING, CAKE, DECOR – All food, catering, cake and drinks are provided by parents. Play Lab holds no responsibility for food allergies or bad reactions to 3rd party supplier’s products. Play Lab aims to be as environmentally friendly as posisble and therefore does not supply balloons at events/parties.  All decor is the parent’s responsibility. Play Lab is not responsible for removal or clean-up of any decor, food items and litter other than the Play Lab set up materials and equipment. Play Lab always leaves the venue clean and tidy as it was found.

VENUE – Parents are to book and secure venue directly with the venue organiser. It is the sole responsibility of parents to cover any costs associated with damage to the venue and/or facilities. Play Lab holds no responsibility for any such charges. Play Lab is not directly affiliated with any venue and therefore does not hold any responsibility for issues arising between parents and venue.

Tween Neon Birthday Parties & Events – Ages 8 years – 14 years old
